Brief History of Multan Region

Regional Office Multan was established in 1981, prior to which the institutions of the region were managed by FGEI Regional Office Lahore. Multan Region looks after 21 schools located at Multan, Okara, Khanewal, Shorkot and Abdul Hakim. In addition, a girls' degree college and a boys' degree college are located at Multan whereas another co-education college is located at Okara. There are 11587 students enrolled in these institutions with 422 faculty members. Multan Region has a prominent position in academics and co-curricular competitions. The students have always earned higher positions in the Board and Scholarship examinations. The students of Multan Region claimed 5 top positions in SSC, 2 in HSSC and 3 in BA / BSc Exams in the entire FGEI System. In 2013, Multan Region won 62 scholarships in Middle and 41 scholarships in Primary classes. Performance of Multan Region in sports has been outstanding. Multan Region was declared as Champion in Athletics in 2013. In co-curricular competitions as well our students bagged good chunk of positions. Some of the Alumni of Multan Region include Dr. Lala Rukh, Dr. Umer Hayat, Dr. Lubna Saeed, Dr. Bushra Saeed, Dr. Nabeela Atta, Dr. Surriya Jabeen and Engr Abu Bakar.
