Director's Message

It is a proud privilege and a matter of elation for me to be the Director of Federal Government Educational Institutions. Federal Government Educational Institutions, as an education network, have carved a unique niche in the education system of the country. These Institutions are national asset, which are imparting free of cost quality education to hundreds of thousands of students. FGEI Directorate manages 311 schools and 44 colleges spread all over the country. The Directorate has approximately 13,000 employees and over 200,000 students.

History

Federal Government Educational Institutions (FGEIs) were under the control of respective Cantonment Boards and were known as Cantonment Board Schools / Colleges. On 1st June, 1975, these were nationalized and placed under the control of Federal Ministry of Education.

Mission

Mission of FGEIs is to provide purposeful and quality education to the wards of Armed Forces personnel as well as of civilians, residing in cantonments throughout the country.

Vision

The envisaged vision of FGEIs is to convert FGEIs network into one of the best educational systems in the country, which should help in nurturing fine citizens skills among the students by providing them with healthy educational environment, so as to make them useful members of the society.
